Features include stainless steel acceptance fitting, external baked epoxy-polyester coating, two-piece design, 150 PSI rating, butyl rubber diaphragm, deep drawn steel, and two-coat bonded polypropylene liner. Designed to prevent dangerous build-ups of pressure in your water heater tank and plumbing system. Stops hot water from backflowing into cold water line while preventing hot water from escaping through pressure relief valve and onto the floor, dealing with constant fluctuations in water pressure that can be dangerous and potentially damage your water heater tank permanently. Recommended for all installations, more so in homes with a closed-loop water supply systems.
